Pragmatic AI for Execution & Multilingual App Delivery
Accelerating development, translation, and delivery workflows while preserving human judgment and quality
Across three production mobile applications — EZ Citizenship, Wells of Refuge, and Pozos de Refugio — I applied generative AI pragmatically to accelerate translation, debugging, SDK migration, and delivery workflows. The goal was never to replace human judgment, but to compress timelines, reduce friction, and maintain quality in resource-constrained development environments.

What Made This Complex
-
Three production applications across different platforms, audiences, and delivery requirements
-
Substantial multilingual content volume requiring English-to-Spanish translation across 66 biblical book introductions, 120 devotionals, approximately 35 immigrant stories, a preface, foreword, contributions pages, and all UI elements
-
Translation requiring cultural and contextual accuracy beyond literal conversion for refugee and immigrant audiences
-
Deprecated SDKs requiring migration to maintain app store compliance across evolving platform requirements
-
Solo development environment with limited bandwidth for manual processes
-
Tight delivery timelines requiring workflow acceleration without sacrificing reliability
How I Approached It
Rather than treating AI as a replacement for judgment, I used it as a practical execution accelerator at specific points in the workflow where it could compress timelines without introducing quality risk — and paired it with human oversight wherever context and accuracy mattered most.
Prioritized:
-
AI-assisted first-pass translation of the full Pozos de Refugio content library, compressing what would have been months of manual effort into days
-
Native Spanish-speaking bilingual reviewer for translation contextualization, cultural accuracy, and correction
-
AI voice generation to accelerate multilingual audio delivery workflows
-
AI-assisted debugging and SDK migration for EZ Citizenship to address deprecated dependencies and maintain app store compliance
-
Human review and judgment preserved as the final quality gate across all workflows
-
Practical tool selection based on where AI added reliable value versus where it introduced risk
Constraints & Tradeoffs
The central challenge was knowing where AI could be trusted and where it couldn't. Literal translation is fast but culturally thin — content designed for refugee and immigrant communities required a human reviewer who understood both the language and the audience. SDK migration assistance accelerated diagnosis but still required developer judgment to implement correctly. The discipline was using AI to eliminate low-value manual effort while keeping human oversight exactly where the stakes were highest.
Outcome
AI-assisted translation compressed the full Pozos de Refugio content library — including 66 biblical book introductions, 120 devotionals, approximately 35 immigrant stories, and all UI elements — from an estimated months-long manual effort to a workflow completed in days, without sacrificing quality through structured human review. SDK migration and debugging assistance for EZ Citizenship maintained app store compliance through multiple platform requirement changes. Across all three applications, AI accelerated execution at specific workflow points while human judgment remained the final arbiter of quality and accuracy.
